Obituary of Faith Marie (Cameron) MacInnis, Glace Bay
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Faith Marie MacInnis, age 83 of Glace Bay on Saturday, November 20th, 2021 at the CBRH, Sydney.
Born in Sydney, Faith was the daughter of the late Michael Joseph & Lily (Hogben) Cameron.
She was a member of the Royal Canadian Airforce for nine years as was her late husband, Carter Francis MacInnis. Faith enjoyed knitting and loved animals, but mostly she will be remembered as a very caring and compassionate mother.
She is survived by her two sons, Mike, Glace Bay and Daniel, Sydney, sister, Barbara Robinson (Dave), Tacoma, Washington State and two grandchildren, Brandon Daniel and Dakota Michelle, Alberta.
Besides her parents and husband, Faith was predeceased by her sister, Mary and seven brothers, Arthur, Teddy, Bernie, Russell, Jimmy, Donald and William in infancy.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 16 Reserve Street, Glace Bay.
A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Anne’s Church, Glace Bay with interment in the parish cemetery. The date and time to be announced.
No flowers please. Memorial donations in memory of Faith may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Cancer Society or the Lupus Foundation.
