Obituary For Gustave “Gus” Louis Emmery Badger
Gustave “Gus” Louis Emmery Badger, resident of Valleyview, AB, passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at the age of 70 years.
Gus was born on August 6, 1951, in High Praise, AB. Gus was raised in Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation by his grandparents Annie Badger and Benjamin Sunshine until the age of 18. Gus later moved to Grande Prairie, AB, and area. He then moved back to Valleyview where he made that his permanent home until his passing.
Gus enjoyed his family time and loved to help everyone. He was a kind and loving dad, grandpa, and chappy to all his children. Family always came first he also love his puppy Brandall, who misses dad dearly already.
Gus leaves to mourn his 14 children: Frank (Alvina), Lorrinda (Winston), Joe (Shawna), Gus (Nicole), Ryan (Kimberly), Archie, Brande, Carolyn (Tony), Malcom, Amos, Wilfred (Katrina), Samantha, Helena, Sylas, and Molly; 48 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind numerous brothers and sisters.
A Wake will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at 4:00pm, at Memorial Hall in Valleyview (4808 50 St.).
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at 1:00pm at Memorial Hall. Interment to follow at sturgeon Lake Cemetery.
