Joy Thompson 1936 2021

Obituary of Joy Thompson
At Wingham & District Hospital on Saturday, January 23, 2021, Joy Thompson of Wingham passed away at the age of 84.
Devoted wife of Ken Thompson of Wingham. Loving mother of Byron & Dorothy Thompson of Windsor and Brenda Thompson & Duane England of Ingersoll. Cherished grandma of Sarah Thompson, Brett Thompson, Dillon McNally and Brittany McNally. Loved great-grandma of Jayden and Lily McNally. Dear sister-in-law of Helen Wilson, Betty Thompson, Ruth Thompson and Phyllis & Keith McLennan. Joy will be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents Isaac “Zic” & Estella Cowan, sisters Wanda Stapleton, Pauline Hodgins and Maxine Wilson and brother-in-law Keith Thompson.
Joy was a dearly loved wife, mom, grandma and friend. She had a deep love for her family who she enjoyed spending time with. She was proud of them in so many ways. In her spare time, she could be found playing cards, particularly euchre and cribbage and also enjoyed fishing with her husband Ken. Joy’s kind heart and dedication to her family has left a void in the hearts of everyone who knew her.
Due to ongoing restrictions, a private family graveside was held at Wingham Cemetery on Saturday, May 15th, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. To view the service, please click here: youtu.be/w6jzGtdAowc
