Obituary
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of June (Thorne) Lockhart which occurred suddenly at her home on Wednesday, November 17th, 2021. Born 1942, in Codys, NB, she was the daughter of the late Otty and Emma (McGarity) Thorne.
June enjoyed knitting and she loved flowers. She adored animals, especially dogs.
June is survived by her son Paul Lockhart (Heather) of Belleisle, NB; sister Annie Chavarie of Saint John; grandchildren Rebecca, Shannon and Amanda; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. Along with her parents, June was predeceased by her sons Kevin and Michael, daughter Deborah, brother Walter and brother-in-law Dave.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Tuesday, November 23rd from 4 to 6 p.m. Due to COVID-19 health measures placed on indoor gatherings, all those 12 and older attending visitation will be required to wear masks, show proof of vaccination and a piece of government issued ID. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
Donations in memory of June may be made to the SPCA-Animal Rescue or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
