Kayla Fitzpatrick 2021

Kayla Ann Margaret Fitzpatrick
November 30, 1994 – November 13, 2021
It is with unbearable grief and sadness that we announce the passing of our “little angel” Kayla at the age of 26.
Kayla was born on November 30, 1994 in Thunder Bay. She attended St. Martin’s School, Pope Paul John and St. Patrick’s High School. She also attended Lakehead University and Confederation College.
Kayla was a sweet, kind person with a beautiful soul who cared deeply for her family and friends and would always be there for anyone at any time to offer her love and support.
Kayla is survived by her father Cameron Fitzpatrick; her mother Barb Silvey and step-father Jeff Renaud. Also survived by her nana and papa Margaret and John Silvey; grandmother Ann McCoy; her uncle Ron Silvey; step-sister Shanice Renaud; step-brothers Kelly Renaud and Scott Fitzpatrick and her step-grandmother Dawn Fitzpatrick in Ancaster, Ontario.
Also survived by the love of her life Aaron Lacko and their crazy dog Toby and her best friend since grade school Jasmine Taylor.
Predeceased by her step-mom Corine Fitzpatrick; her Aunt Becky Fitzpatrick; Step-grandfather Gary McCoy and grandfather Jack Fitzpatrick.
Besides the love for her family and friends, Kayla loved to travel and has visited so many places in her young life. Travelling to Toronto, Banff, Florida, Puerto Plata, Bahamas, Las Vegas, Cuba, British Columbia and Thailand.
Kayla was a light in everyone’s lives, even when she was struggling with alcohol. A battle that we know so many others have experienced. Kayla fought hard to remain strong and better herself for her family and friends. She had hopes of a long, happy and healthy life. Kayla was surrounded by love and was always grateful to have had so many people in her corner. Aside from Aaron, Jasmine, her sister Shanice and her family – we would also like to offer our thanks to Lukas Littleford, Cassie McGee, Kaylee Carlson-Valellonga and the many others who stood by her side.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at the Valhalla Inn (Ballroom 1) from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. Please note that you will have to show your COVID vaccine certificate and follow all COVID protocols.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sister Margaret Smith Centre or a charity of your choice.
REST IN PEACE OUR BEAUTIFUL LITTLE GIRL

  1. Kayla was my next door neighbor for 3 or 4 years and I was quite fond of her. She was such a sweet, lovely young woman. Always so respectful towards me and a pleasure to talk with. I did not know her real well but from what I knew, she was indeed a beautiful person. Her passing is a tragedy and a shock, and I will really miss her. Rest In Peace, Kayla,
