Selman Cameron September 04 1975

It is with profound grief, we announce the passing of our son, brother and father, CAMERON SELMAN, of Lethbridge. Cameron passed away at home in the loving arms of his parents and brothers, on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at the age of 46 years.

Born on the fourth of September 1975, he was the third son of Jim and Lynda Selman. He and his brothers were a year a part in age. They always had playmates growing up. Cam often told us that he had the best childhood a boy could ask for. He attended St. Paul’s and Park Meadows Elementary School, and graduated from Winston Churchill High School in 1994. In 2002, he achieved his Journeyman Iron Worker Certificate, and worked on numerous projects over the years in central and southern Alberta.

Cam’s greatest love was his family, immediate and extended. He had a huge heart for them, never failing to express his love in words or with a hug. He gave the best hugs. His second love was his 1966 Acadian Canso. He never tired of opening the garage door to show if off. Cam’s third love was food, and the man was never picky! He especially loved his mom’s apple pies and apple crisp. We’re sure he could have lived on them.

On June 9 of this year, Cameron became a father. As deeply as he was loved by his father, he loved his son. He had such great plans of taking him camping and teaching him how to fish. Cam, we promise we will be there for your son. We will do our best to teach him all you desired him to learn.

Besides his loving parents, he is survived by his brothers Lee and David Selman, son Jaxon Selman, and the mother of his son Jaycee Friesen as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his grandparents Lynn and Evelyn Selman, Johnny and Doreen Carpenter and cousin Dana Carpenter.

Due to Covid restrictions, a Private Family Service will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. The service will be livestreamed and may be accessed via Cam’s obituary on the Cornerstone website.

You love his smile, you know his shrug,

You’d recognize his walk a block away.

He makes you laugh, he makes you proud,

A thought of him can really make your day.

You hope for him, you dream for him,

You pray that life will always treat him well.

He’s everything you ever needed in a son,

You love him more than words could ever tell.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Selman Cameron September 04 1975..
