Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Bluewater Health, Gladys Pearl Elliott passed away at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Harvey Elliott (2018). Loving mother of Jim, Judy (Brian) Slaughter, Scott (Brenda), and the late Janice (1957). Cherished grandmother of Kyle Slaughter, Michelle Slaughter, and Lauren Elliott (Craig Baan). Dear sister-in-law of Elizabeth Spearman and Marion Elliott. Predeceased by her parents James and Ella Spearman, brothers Ken (the late Wilma) and Ivan Spearman, brother-in-law Murray Elliott and sister-in-law Jean (the late Gord) Helps. Gladys was an incredible quilter, and won many awards for her work. She also judged competitions and hosted the Comfort Quilters group for many years. Gladys loved travelling and dancing with Harvey. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her. Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Due to COVID restrictions, those who wish to attend are encouraged to RSVP with a time to attend the visitation: signup.com/go/AQzumaB. Interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
