Glen Boutilier

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Glen Vincent Boutilier, age 70, of Mapleview Manor on Thursday, October 28, 2021.
Born in North Sydney on August 23, 1951, he was the son of the late Roy and Eileen (Scholfield) Boutilier. Glen devoted his life to his family and will be sadly missed by his son Derek and daughter Holly. He is also survived by his brothers Keith (Gloria), Clayton (Paula) and Peter (Corinne).
Besides his parents, Glen was predeceased by his loving wife Carol (Burt) in 2017, his brothers Robert and David Boutilier and sister Linda Campbell.
The family would like to thank the staff of Harbour View Adult Day Program, Crossroads, Breton Ability Centre and the Northside Homemakers for their care and compassion and also, to the Burt family for the many years that they helped Glen.
Visitation for Glen will be held from 1:30-3:00 p.m. on Monday in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney. A funeral service will follow in the Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon David Lewis officiating. Covid-19 restrictions will be in place with Proof of Vaccination and the wearing of masks for the visitation and funeral service.
Memorial donations may be made to Cornerstone Community Home, c/o Breton Ability Centre Charitable Foundation.
