It is with great sadness and much love that we say goodbye to our beloved mother and grandmother Delores Hunter, who passed away peacefully on October 20, 2021 at the age of 82 years.
Delores is lovingly remembered by Don, her husband of 60 years; her children Susan, Kent (Dana), Scott, and Kerry (David) Beeler; and her grandchildren Alison, Ethan, Eli, and Flynn.
Delores leaves behind her sister Donna Moffit, and her brother Doug (Betty) Jersak, and was predeceased by her parents, Martin and Alma Jersak.
She will be greatly missed by her many friends and extended family as well.
Born in Beverly, Alberta, Del, as she was affectionately known, worked at Highlands School, met Don and married, raising her family in north Edmonton. She loved her time at the cabin at Seba Beach, gardening, reading, enjoying the cats, birds, flowers and squirrels. She had a lively interest in spirituality and her study of Buddhist meditation was a source of strength through her journey.
A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Lifestyle Options Whitemud who were very kind to her.
In lieu of flowers and as an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the The Lung Association.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, November 13, at 1:00 p.m. at the Woodvale Community Facility at Millwoods Golf Course (4540-50 Street, Edmonton). Covid protocol requires proof of vaccination and masks. Light luncheon to follow.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of HUNTER Delores Alma nee Jersak October 20 2021..
