Victoria Irene Vicki Boyd 1938 2021

Victoria Irene Boyd –
83, Debert. Vicki worked most of her career as a registered nurse at
Hillcrest Manor in Truro where she loved taking care of people. During
her spare time, and after her retirement, you would find Vicki
enjoying her gardens and making the most wonderful preserves, jams and
jellies. Family holiday dinners were her specialty; no one would leave
hungry and there was always room for another person at the table. She
was an avid baker and created breathtaking wedding cakes, birthday
cakes and the family recipe for “Two-Island” tarts. She
loved reading and doing crossword puzzles, and spending time with her
husband, daughters, grandson, family and
friends.
Vicki is
survived by her daughter, Janet Leblanc, Greenwood; grandson, Thomas
Kinnie; son-in-law, Bruce Kinnie, Fredericton, New Brunswick; sister,
Eloise Yorke, Parrsboro; brothers, Wade MacAloney, Amherst; Joe
MacAloney, Two Islands; many extended family members. She was
predeceased by her husband, Leslie Boyd (Belmont); daughter, Heather
Boyd-Kinnie (Fredericton).
A special thank you to
the entire staff of Shannex Debert Court for the outstanding care and
love they had for Vicki while she was a resident in their nursing
home.
Arrangements for
cremation have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55
Young Street, Truro. As per her wishes, there will not be a funeral
service. There will be a private family interment at a future
date.
