Obituary
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of David John Carroll which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, October 27th, 2021 with his daughter JoAnne by his side. Born 1957, in Saint John, he was the son of the late Cornelius and Dorothy (London) Carroll. David offered cruise ship tours in Saint John and he also worked as a taxi driver and worked with various moving companies throughout his career. He was a history buff and loved exploring and learning new things in and around his home town. He loved watching movies and he was very proud of his indigenous heritage, his daughters and his grandchildren.
David is survived by his daughters JoAnne Burke of Saint John, Darcelle Young (Jay) of Ontario, Sheena Merling (Andrew) of Ontario; son-in-law Joel Burke of Saint John; brother Stephen Carroll (Cathy) of Saint John; sisters-in-law Cathy LeBlanc and Janice MacEwen; grandchildren Janaya, Jayden, Anthony, Liam, Lilian, Ethan, Faith, Hope, Colton & Gavin; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. Along with his parents, David was predeceased by his wife JoAnne, sisters Donna MacEachern and Irene Wright, brothers Charles and Allan Carroll, sister-in-law Judy McCavour and brother-in-law Will MacEwen.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Due to Covid restrictions, services will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of David may be made to Outflow or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
