ELSIPOGTOG, NB – Joseph Daniel Bernard 67, of
Elsipogtog passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital in
Ste-Anne-de-Kent on Monday, October 18, 2021. Born in Tyne
Valley, PEI he was the son of the late Albert Bernard and late
Margaret (Scully) Bernard.
Joe Dan will be sadly missed by his daughter, Amanda Bernard
(Brian); three sons, Junior Bernard (Billie-Jo), Shaun Bernard
(Lacia), David Bernard all of Elsipogtog; fifteen grandchildren,
Malian, Taylor, Evelyn, Kylie, Haley, Bria, Chayson, Trice, Tayven,
Nash, Jeneva, Keaton, Lyrix, Kyzer, Stryker and five great
grandchildren, Bella, Landon, Milly, Tayde and
Octavia.
He is also survived by the mother of his children, Eva
Sanipass of Elsipogtog; five sisters, Brenda Bernard, Patsy Bernard,
Gloria Bernard, Rita Bernard (John), Emily Bernard (Darryl) all of
PEI; three brothers, AJ Bernard, Peter Bernard (Charlene) both of PEI,
Walter Bernard (Angie) of Elsipogtog and many nieces and
nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two nephews,
Gregory and Erik.
Visitation will be held at 280 Levi Street, Elsipogtog
beginning on Saturday at 2:00 pm until time of the funeral.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 25, 2021 at 10:30
am, St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church,
Elsipogtog.
The family wish to express a sincere thank you to Joe
Dan’s special nephew, Adam Jadis and his close friends, Mark
Peters, Ralph Augustine, Colton Thomas and Gubble for all their
support and kindness. “The Way You
Are….”
