Buchanan, Ian Robert
September 9, 1946 – October 14, 2021
It is with great sadness that the family of Ian Buchanan announce his passing in Ottawa, at the age of 75; teacher, grave digger, bird watcher, nature photographer, gardener, mentor, musician, a “godly man, a gentle man, a gentleman”.
Ian will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 49 years, Jean; children Sarah (Andrew Hahn) and Rebecca (Jason Edwards); grandchildren Makayla, Andraya, Nicola, Adrielle and Elliana; brother Andrew (Susan) and sister Cathie; and many close friends and relatives. He will be dearly missed by his Tuesday morning men’s group.
Arrangements entrusted to Tubman Funeral Homes. The service of remembrance will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Kanata Baptist Church, 456 Hazeldean Rd., Ottawa.
