HEWER Jean Elizabeth Bartram of Zurich 2021

Passed away at Blue Water Rest Home, Zurich on Monday, October 4, 2021, at the age of 100. Beloved wife of the late Albert Hewer. Loving stepmother of Ruth (Hewer) Nicholls and Barb (Chuck) (Hewer) Kloetstra. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Lorne and Maudie Bartram. Lovingly and fondly remembered by her nieces Dorothy (Glen) Gray, May Anhorn, Lorna Bartram, Judy Bartram, Glennda Bartram, and Marjorie Hodges as well as many great nieces and nephews.
Jean was born in Calgary, AB to Clarence and Ida (Penhall) Bartram. She was trained as a psychiatric nurse and worked in that field at Essondale/Riverview Hospital in New Westminster, BC prior to retiring and subsequently moving to Ontario years later.
Keeping with Jean’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held in the spring of 2022. Interment Zurich Mennonite Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Haskett Funeral Home, Zurich (519-236-4365)
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Jean’s dear friends Annie Zielman and Emma Manson for their love, care, and support which they provided until her passing and also to the staff of Blue Water Rest Home for their compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
