Elizabeth Ann’s Obituary
Elizabeth Ann Parker
February 20, 1951 – October 10, 2021
Our family is saddened to announce the passing of Elizabeth (Liz) Ann Parker (Lidster) on October 10th, 2021. Liz passed away peacefully at the Peace River Community Health Centre with her loving husband Bryan at her side and is now laying at rest until her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, returns to take her home.
Liz was born on February 20,1951 in St.Thomas, Ontario to Harold and Netta Lidster. As a child she enjoyed reading, drawing, crafting and playing games with her siblings. As a young adult Liz studied at Fanshawe Business College in St. Thomas where she received a certificate in secretarial studies. She then applied her educational certification at the Parkspin Yarn Factory in St.Thomas as a secretary.
Liz met her future husband Bryan Parker in Peace River, Alberta. They married on May 18th, 1974 with family and friends present in Berwyn. For several years Liz and Bryan enjoyed building their life together in Grimshaw and Berwyn while camping, dancing, sharing time and making memories with family & friends.
In 1980 they welcomed Liz’s most precious pride and joy, Scott Michael Robert Parker. In addition to being a dedicated, patient and loving mother and wife, Liz loved family time in the outdoors, skating, downhill skiing and sledding. In warmer months she loved family reunions, quading and camping.
Liz held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. She loved the many roles in her church community especially that of Seventh Day Adventist Christian School secretary and Sabbath school teacher. Her genuine love and compassion for children and youth will never be forgotten.
Liz is remembered by her siblings as being a great sister, having a contagious smile, a heart of gold, and a beautiful soul. She was humorous, generous and kind. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone.
Liz will be dearly missed and always remembered by her husband Bryan Parker, her son Scott (Charlene) Parker and will be forever in the hearts and memories of her grandchildren Seth, Cole and Mya. Liz is also survived by siblings Robert Lidster (Noreen), Mary Lynch, Pat Hansen, Stan Lidster (Fran), Bill Lidster (Jackie), Charlene MacPherson, Nancy Marshall, Rose Hamilton (Ron), in-laws Lynda Johnston (David), Wendy Billette (Ken), Gerry Parker, Randy Parker (Charlene) and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
