Obituary of Rose Stairs
STAIRS, ROSALEE ALICE (HARRIS)
The passing of Rosalee “Rose” Alice Stairs of Fredericton , NB , wife of Neil Stairs occurred on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on July 10, 1934 in Temperance Vale, NB, she was the daughter of the late Austin and Leola (Trail) Harris. Rose retired as a homecare worker with children. She was a member of Nashwaaksis Baptist Church . Rose was a former bowler, she also enjoyed playing cards and having fun with the Swinging 60’s Exercise Group.
In addition to her husband, Rose is surived by her sister, Laverne Seveck (Ron) of Temperance Vale, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister and brother in law, Nevella Schriver (Cedric).
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Monday, October 18, 2021 from 1-2 pm; followed by the Memorial Service at 2 pm with Rev. Chris Bennett officiating. For those attending the public visitation or funeral service, masks are required and will need to provide proof of vaccination and government issued ID. Interment will take place in Otis Cemetery, Nackawic, NB. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Nashwaaksis Baptist Church or the charity of the donor’s choice.
