Daly, Charles Andrew –
1941-2021
Passed away suddenly at Brampton Civic Hospital on September
23, 2021, at the age of 81 years. Born and raised in Kitchener, he had
also lived in Ayr, Toronto and Brampton.
Charles was an interior designer for most of his career but
developed a life-long love of photography and of
art. After serving in the Royal
Canadian Navy, completing his education and several appointments as an
interior designer, he operated his own business, Charles Daly Interior
Design Studio. He also worked at the Art Shoppe and Barrymore
Furniture in Toronto.
He was the resident photographer for The Royal Canadian
Legion Bramalea Branch 609 and the community of Norton Lake where he
was known for his captures of Remembrance Day Celebrations,
Veteran’s photos, Memorials, and many other
events.
Charles was the proud father of Kelly (Carol) Daly, Matthew
Daly, Gabrielle (Woolford) London, the late Kathleen Daly and
grandfather of 6. Charles is also survived by his sister Maureen Toms
(Rob Locke); nephews Keith & Jordan Toms; sister Valerie
Hazlett & niece Julie Gilchrist.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be
held at a later date. Donations, as expressions of sympathy, would be
graciously received at either The Knights Table of Brampton
