John Lawrence Thursday September 30th 2021

Lawrence, John Richard
Passed peacefully at Hospice Peterborough on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at the age of 67 after a determined battle with pancreatic cancer.
Loving husband of Margaret for 45 years. Proud father of Bryan (Rosalie Zielinski), Teri (Michael Sunde) and Amanda Raaymakers (Phil). Much loved brother of David (Margaret), the late Jean Burrows (late Walter), the late Donald, and Kathy Chajka (Eugene). Loving grandfather to Katarzyna Lawrence.
John graduated from the University of Waterloo in Mathematics in 1977 and spent many years working in education as a Superintendent of Finance for the Lincoln County Board of Education, District School Board of Niagara and the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board.
John was a lifelong Cleveland Browns fan and was very proud to have attended every home game for 18 years, and remained hopeful that the Browns Super Bowl was just around the corner. He participated in the curling scenes in both St. Catharines and Ennismore and loved travelling on cruises with Margaret to the Caribbean, Europe and Alaska.
The family sends heartfelt appreciation to the staff and volunteers at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Toronto General Hospital, and Hospice Peterborough.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, no service will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Hospice Peterborough or PRHC Foundation would be much appreciated.
