Dennis Martin Pike October 2nd 2021

Dennis passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on October 2, 2021. Dennis is survived by his loving wife Jeanette; 3 children Debbie (Kirk) Munro, Bev (Wayne) Greenwood and Greg (Fay) Pike; 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Dennis was raised on the family farm in the Forest Bank District near Waseca, Saskatchewan. He farmed there for a few years until he married Jeanette Corker. They moved to Indian Head in 1956 where he started work at the Experimental Farm. His love of horticulture led him to designing and planting many beautiful flowerbeds. He spent hours building wonderful displays in the greenhouse and also for Indian Head’s annual horticultural show, some even including cascading waterfalls! He retired in 1989. In 1988, Dennis and Jeanette opened a small department store in Indian Head that they operated until 2008 when they retired.
Dennis loved camping and we had many great family trips over the years. Dennis took great joy in his family. He played such an important role in the lives of his Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren who had great affection and respect for him. He loved all the summers spent at the family cabins; it was his happy place.
Dennis will be remembered for his dry humour and quick wit. He will always be loved and sadly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date with interment at Forest Bank Cemetery.
If friends so desire in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Indian Head and District Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 1547, Indian Head, Saskatchewan, S0G 2K0 or the charity of your choice.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Dennis Martin Pike October 2nd 2021..
