LEIER, Annie
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Annie Leier announce her sudden passing on October 1, 2021 at the age of 90. Mom was born in Macklin, SK on April 4, 1931 to Martin and Rose Mary Daratha.
Annie married Jacob Leier on June 30, 1952. Shortly after, they moved to Allan where they farmed for 40 years. They then retired to Saskatoon and enjoyed travelling extensively and meeting new friends, potluck suppers and socializing.
Mom had a variety of jobs over the years and was a long time member of the CWL. She was a woman of many talents including sewing, quilting and gardening. Mom was an awesome cook.
You couldn’t find a kinder, more loving person to those who knew her and especially to her family.
Annie was predeceased by her mother Rose Mary and father Martin, husband Jacob, brothers Martin and Nels, sisters Eleanor and Rose Mary, as well as numerous extended family members. She is survived by her loving family, daughter Arlene (Clifford) Statham, Schawn (Kim) Roland, Rory (Jamie) Rylan, Melissa (Greg), daughter Marion (Daryl) Stanford, Scott (Amanda) Jaxson, Karter and Jersey, Clayton (Candace), Emrie and Chase, Jodie Stanford, Ellie and Barrett, son Dan (Karen) Leier, Caralee (Jamie), Ava, Bryden, Jordan, Krista (Russell) Sloan, Kaylin (Dan) Ferguson, Austin and Chloe, daughter Janet (Wayne) Braaten, son Bob (Barb), Mitchell and Madison, and sister Margaret Davidson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 6th, 2021 at St. Philip Neri Parish (1902 Munroe Ave. S.) in Saskatoon. The Rite of Committal will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family would like to acknowledge the many acts of kindness shown to Mom by the staff and residents of St. Anne’s Place, as well as the staff at Royal University Hospital.
