A Grey Sister of the Immaculate Conception, Pembroke, Ontario, died in Pembroke on the 6th day of September, 2021 in the 70th year of her Religious Life. Left to mourn are the members of her Religious Community, her sister, Irene (Tim) Dooling, brother-in-law, Terry Aubichon, many nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, John James and Lila Mary (Lynch) her brothers, Lawrence (Dallas) and Michael (Marina), and her sisters, Mildred Jeffrey, Patricia Aubichon, Lillian Foran. Sister Margaret was born in Pembroke on September 27, 1931. She entered the Community on September 10, 1951, pronouncing final vows on August 7, 1956. A teacher by profession, she served in Pembroke, Whitby, Ottawa, Timmins and in Midland as Principal of St. Theresa’s High School. In 1981, she was appointed General Treasurer for the Grey Sisters’ Community, a post she held for seven years. Other assignments included the position of Executive Secretary for the Association of Treasurers of Religious Institutes and as a volunteer in the Business Office of the Catholic New Times for twelve years. Her final years were lived peacefully at Shalom Residence, Pembroke. There will be no visitation. Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Lourdesview Drive, Pembroke on Friday, September 10th, 2021 at 1030 a.m. Interment in St. Columba Cemetery. All COVID-19 protocols are to be observed at the church and cemetery.
