DOWBUSH Ronald Michael September 24 2021

Reverend Ronald Michael Dowbush passed into the presence of his Lord, Friday, September 24, 2021 after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Rose, his daughters Valerie Stanley, Rev. Debbie Kunst (Robert), Laura Pahl (Darrel), Michelle Carlsen (Robert) and his son Rev. Bruce Dowbush (Dawn), as well as 18 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
Born in Mundare, Alberta, on November 12, 1931, Reverend Dowbush became a preacher with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada at a young age within the Slavic Branch, then soon transferred into the German Branch when he accepted a country pastorate near Thorsby. After nearly a decade and moving the country church into a new building in town within the English branch, Pastor Dowbush took a pastorate in Prince George, B.C. Five years later he moved to Delta, B.C. to pastor and build yet another church building. From Delta, he moved to Surrey and established a new church known as New Life Assembly, before temporarily leaving pastoral duties to do international work in Ukraine as it emerged from behind the “Iron Curtain”.
Rev. Dowbush is remembered for serving his community with long terms on Delta Police Commission, as a Provincial Parole Board Officer, and community leader.
Ron was busy supplying pulpit ministry to churches in transition before he and Rose returned to Alberta and settled in Edmonton. Ron’s final pastorate was in Innisfail, AB., where he retired and was residing at the time of his death.
A private interment will be held on Saturday, October 2nd.
He is dearly missed by many, but by none more than his family. A public service of remembrance will be announced in the coming days.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of DOWBUSH Ronald Michael September 24 2021..
