Obituary of John Grass
Grass, John Ronald of Aylmer passed away at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 in his 79th year. John adored and cherished his wife Carole (Milmine) Grass(married 1965). Loving father of Paul Grass(Jeannette) of Es, Lisa Baxter(Darren) of St. Thomas, David Grass of Nova Scotia, Philip Grass of Springfield and Sharon Axelson (Wayne) of Aylmer. Proud grandfather of Rachel, Mark, Anna, Laura, Madison, Carmen, Zachary, Ella, Blake and great-grandfather of Maximus. Dear brother of Bruce Grass(Phyllis), Gerald Grass(Rose) and Harold Grass(Doris). Brother-in-law to Roger Milmine(Peggy), Carl Milmine(Judy) and Sharon Sawlor(Norm). Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Richard Grass and Don(Smiley) Grass. Born in Windham Centre on January 30, 1943, son of the late Jack and Hazel (Boyd) Grass. John was a lifelong resident of the Aylmer area and worked for Amtelecom for 45 years. He enjoyed spending his days in the woods cutting trees. John had the heart of a servant and loved Jesus. He was an honourable and dedicated man. John’s smile shone brightest when he was helping someone in need. Friends and family may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday 6-9 pm and Saturday 11 am – 1 pm. A private family service will be held at the Aylmer Cemetery. Cremation has taken place.
