Vallerie Virginia St. Clair (Beach) (Hudgins)
Pede – 77 of Coldbrook. Born in Brighton, England on May 16,
1944, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Helen (Isaacs) Beach,
New Minas. Vallerie came to Canada in 1945 with her war bride mother
at nine months old. She worked at the White Spot in New Minas before
moving to Toronto to work. Vallerie worked as a manager at
Hunt’s Bakery before leaving that and starting a job at that
time for Dominion Stores where she worked for 35 years. She took early
retirement in 2001 and moved back to Nova Scotia to live. Vallerie had
a love of all animals and would feed any stray that needed food. She
loved her computer and liked to talk with new people that she would
meet. Vallerie is survived by niece, Jane Whitther (Geoffrey) and
nephew, Simon Wheatley (Elaine), both of England. She was predeceased
by her parents, a brother, Derek, first husband, Herbert; second
husband, Fred; sister, Jill Wheatley (Ron). Cremation has taken place.
A private family graveside service will take place at a later date.
Donations in memory may be made to a charity of choice. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and
Cremation Services, Kentville.
