Cavell Perry 1951 2021

Obituary of Cavell Perry
Nora Ina Cavell Perry, affectionately known as “Cavell” was born in Botwood on October 07, 1951 to Pastors Alexander & Joyce Perry. Growing up in a pastors home she lived in several places including Birchy Bay, Carmanville, Port Anson, Carter’s Cove and Stanhope. In 2002 she moved to Grandfalls-Windsor where she resided at Twin Town Retirement Centre until 2020.
Cavell lived a life of physical challenges. In early childhood she was diagnosed with Epilepsy, with debilitating grand mal seizures, yet it never changed her kind personality and big heart.
Cavell loved the simple things in life. She had a love for puzzles and puzzle books, board games and reading. She appreciated peoples kindness and loved visits from her family, cousins, and friends. If you were to phone her, you can be sure she was talking about that phone call for the next week. She especially loved to see her great nieces and nephews coming for a visit, who affectionately called her “Aunt Cabell”. She never missed a birthday or a chance to ask how a loved one was doing.
Cavell had a great faith in God that never wavered even in sickness. She loved reading her Bible and singing hymns and choruses. She faithfully served the Lord all of her life.
She was predeceased by her parents, Pastors Alexander & Joyce Perry, brother Angus and nephew Philip.
She leaves to mourn her siblings: Ross (Betty), Wayne (Bonita), sister-in-law, Jackie and Fern (Ewen), as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She passed peacefully into the Lord’s presence at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre on Friday, September 17, 2021 at the age of 69.
Donations in Cavell’s memory may be made to the Twin Town Retirement Centre Recreation Program.
