Obituary
Mom, Nana as she loved to be called by her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, passed away peacefully in her home, as she desired, surrounded by her family.
Mom came from humble beginnings in an English Seaside Fishing Village. She and her five siblings would play with homemade toys on streets absent of cars. Lena was awarded the King George Silver Metal for her contribution to the war effort and also sang to the troops with a Big Band on the Pier jutting into the North Sea, the local hot spot. This is where Dad, deceased 1991, walked in and whisked her away as a War Bride to Canada.
Jim and Le spent many years splitting their time between the cottage and home in Scarborough with their three boys, James, deceased 2012, John and Steve. Raising her boys and looking after Jim filled her life with love, laughter and tears. She had a very full and long life.
Mom always put others first and often did without, to provide. She will be sadly missed by her sister Pat and family in England, Nieces and Nephews in this country, Granddaughters, Jessica and Rebecca, Great Grandchildren Isabel and Nat, her sons John and Steve and daughter in laws Margaret and Lise.
You will be sorely missed by us all. All our Love Momma.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Lena Renwick December 6 1922 September 12 2021 (age 98)..
