Obituary
With broken hearts, the family of Mary Kawulych (Senko) of Westlock, AB announces her peacefully passing at home surrounded by her loving family on January 14, 2021 at the age of 82 years.
Mary will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 63 years, Steve; children: Michael (Angela), Anastasia (Jay), Pamela, and Anna (Wayne); grandchildren: Stephanie (Evan), Nicole (Amanda), Ashleigh (Alastair), Braeanne (Martti), Cameron (Olivia), Samantha, Honey (Kevin), Shelby and Stephen; great grandchildren: Nadya, Michael, Adalyn and Holden; brothers: Peter (Pauline) and Louis (Shirley); sister, Darline (Mervin); sisters-in-law: Virginia and Lillian; dear friend Maggie; nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Marie Senko; sister, Anne; brothers: Martin, Steve and William; nephews: Dean, Lorne and David.
Mom was a devoted wife, loving and caring Mother and Baba who enjoyed spending time with her family. She had a passion for gardening, cooking and baking. Mom made the best perogies, cabbage rolls, stuffing and saskatoon crisp. She loved to cook and share her culinary talents, no one ever left hungry!
Over the years, anyone that has visited Mary’s flower garden can tell you that it was her pride and joy. Until her last days, despite the weeds being 4 feet tall, Mom was out there cutting them down. The weeds never stood a chance!
Mom worked hard, loved farm life, nature and animals, there was no place she would rather be.
Thank you to the Westlock Homecare team, friends and family for providing care, encouragement, food and prayers.
Mary’s family honored her wishes by caring for her at home until her passing. A Celebration of Life will be held in May 2021with her cremains present.
