Dr David Sharpe Saturday September 4th 2021

Dr. David Henry Sharpe passed peacefully on September 4, 2021. David was born in
Pine Falls, Manitoba on September 6, 1929 to Ed and Mae Sharpe along with siblings
Helen, George, Bill, Gerald, Dennis, Eileen and Hope.
David graduated with a Doctorate in Medicine in 1963, and following his internship and surgical training, chose to establish a family and surgical practice in Portage la Prairie in 1965. He became very well known in the community throughout his many years of practice. David loved being a Doctor in Portage along with the challenges and variety that the career provided him.
David is survived by his children: Roxie, Laila and Kevin; their mother Tirzah; his sister Hope; as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A special thank you for the care and attention provided to David over these last few months by his neighbour and friend Shirley Scanlon; the Doctors and Nurses at Concordia Hospital and Actionmarguerite St Joseph PCH. A private family ceremony will occur at a later date.
David was very proud of his vegetable and flower gardens, but we know that in lieu of flowers he would appreciate a donation in his name to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
