Obituary of Beatrice Marie McIntyre
Peacefully, with family by her side, Beatrice “Bea” Marie McIntyre (nee Butler) of Chatham, formerly of Ridgetown, passed away at Copper Terrace Long Term Care on Tuesday, September 7th, 2021, in her 101st year. Daughter of the late Charles and Nellie Butler (nee Reek).
Beloved wife of the late Archie McIntyre (2006). Dear mother of Gerald (Marilyn) McIntyre, the late Ronald (Jan) McIntyre, and Dianne (Barrie) Thompson. Cherished grandmother of 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
Predeceased by her siblings Bernice (the late Garnet) Shaw, Dorothy Hughes (the late Albert Goldhawk and Cam Hughes), and Margaret (the late Robert) Paton.
Bea owned and operated “Bea’s Flowers” in Ridgetown, prior to becoming a Registered E.E.G. and E.K.G. Technologist at the Southwest Regional Centre. She was a Past President of the Rebekah Assembly of Ontario, Honorary Life Member on the board of the I.O.O.F. Citizens Home Inc. in Barrie, ON, and the Assistant Curator of the Fairfield Museum.
Friends and family will be received at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown, on Friday, September 10th, 2021, from 1:30pm until 2:30pm. A Funeral Service will be held at 3pm, with Rev. Paul Shaw officiating. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown. Those planning to attend the Visitation or Funeral Service must register by phone (519-674-3141) or via the Funeral Home website:
