Passed away peacefully at the Guelph General Hospital on
Monday, August 30, 2021, at the age of 99 years. Born in
Pernis Holland, March 8, 1922. Johannes was the beloved
husband of the late Hendrika Lindeboom Riethoff (2016).
Loved father of Fop and Jettie Riethoff of Elora, Henk and Cathy
Riethoff of Fen Ditton, England and Els and Andy Stokes-Riethoff of
Eaglemont, Australia. Proud grandfather and great
grandfather of Yvette and Brad Detta; their children Elayna and Emmery
of Fergus, Eelco and Caroline; their children Brayden and Alexandra of
Selkirk, MB, Tom and Maxine; their children Margo and Kit of Bury St.
Edmunds, England, Leo and Charley; their children Sidney, Miller and
Enid of Burwell, England, Richard and Rachel, Phoebe and Campbell and
Olivia and Alex all of Melbourne, Australia. Dear brother-in-law of
Trudy Roelofsen of Oestgeest, Holland.
The family will greet friends at the GILCHRIST
CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi
Street, Guelph, (519-824-0031) on Tuesday September
14th from 9.30 to 10.00 a.m. You must contact
the funeral home to register your attendance. The funeral service will
be in the funeral home chapel at 10.00 a.m. Internment at Woodlawn
Memorial Park, 760 Woolwich Street, Guelph. Memorial contributions to
the Alzheimer Society Waterloo Wellington, 69 Huron Street, Guelph ON
