Obituary of Jeanne Patricia Kempling
Jeanne (J.P.) Kempling (nee: Truelove)
May 19th, 1947 – September 1st 2021
Passed away peacefully on September 1st, 2021, at University Hospital in London Ontario.
J.P. is survived by her daughters Dana Spicer (Nathan) and Nancy Roulston (Andrew), her grandchildren Conner, Olivia, Lennon, and Lucas; her brother Alan Truelove (Ginette), and Nephew Mark (Janine), as well as many cousins and close friends across both Canada and the United Kingdom.
J.P. had a long banking career, then moving on as a mortgage broker and was active in Junior Achievement and Credit women. In 1983 she was named “Credit Woman of the Year” and in 1978 she was named one of the “Five Outstanding Young Londoners”, recognized for her contribution to the community. In her later years, she taught banking and marketing at Westervelt College until her retirement.
J.P. had a great sense of humour and was well known for her quick wit and never taking herself too seriously. She loved cooking and gardening, was an avid reader, a massive Rod Stewart fan and had an immense love of animals.
As per J.P.’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services, cremation service privately for the immediate family only. At a later date, the family will be planning a Celebration of Life. Messages of condolences may be left at www.londoncremation.com
