On August 26, 2021, Mr. Lazare “Red Eagle” Whiskeyjack of Saddle Lake passed away at the age of 70 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Roberta; children, Leona Delver, Karen Delver (Felix), Jason Williams (Crystal Lameman), Louise (Corey Moses), Jasmine, Raeanna (Lionel) Hunter & Sadey (Logan Large); traditionally adopted children, Tamara Starblanket, Brian Bird (Paulette), Russell Asapace & Bob (Bernadette) Badger; numerous grandchildren & great-grandchildren; siblings, Nancy H. Cardinal, Louie (Lena) Lapatak, Morris (Violet) Whiskeyjack, Alsena (Alex) White, Pearl (Harley) Cardinal, Anthony (Freida) Whiskeyjack & Mabel (John) Shirt; mother-in-law, Marie Louise Williams; numerous nieces, nephews & adopted relatives. Mr. Whiskeyjack was predeceased by his parents, Benjamin & Caroline; daughter in infancy; siblings, David, Edward, George, Mary, Emma, Kathleen, Freddie, Gabriel & Kenneth. A Wake will be held on Friday, September 3 (leaving Grace Gardens at 11:00 a.m.) at Lazare & Roberta’s Residence, Saddle Lake. A Pipe Ceremony will be held on Saturday, September 4 at 9:00 a.m. at Lazare & Roberta’s Residence, Saddle Lake with the Funeral Service to follow. The Honourable Judge Ivan Ladouceur will be officiating with interment in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Saddle Lake.
