Obituary of Derwin Ashford Taylor
Derwin Ashford Taylor, 61 of Somerset, passed away on Tuesday August 24, 2021 at the Valley Regional Hospital, with family by his side. Derwin was born on September 14, 1959 in Amherst, and was the son of the late June and Theodore Taylor.
He had a love for his family, farming and enjoyed driving his Magnum Case IH 310 tractor. Derwin was employed for 24-years at Sawler Gardens. He relished in working with ‘the boys’ (as he called them), in the field. Derwin spent his life working on various farms which he appreciated very much.
Derwin is survived by his loving wife, best friend, soulmate, and companion of 40 years, Elfreda (Connell); daughters Shannon and Natatsha; grandchildren Hannah, Braxton, Delaney, Grayson, and Nova.
Aside from his parents, Derwin was predeceased by his sons Matthew and Brandon.

By request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations may be made to the Carey Me Fund. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive, Coldbrook NS B4R1B9 (902 679 2822).
