Obituary of Wanda Augustal Elit
Elit , Wanda Augustal (née Pekrul) 1938-2021
Wanda passed away peacefully on January 18, 2021 at the age of 82. She was born in Dobrzyn, Poland on Nov 4, 1938 to the late Albert and Augusta (Reske) Pekrul. Beloved wife of the late Arthur Elit – 2017. Loving mother of Laurie and David (Brigitte Plante). Cherished oma of Vincent, Jeremie, Madeleine and Gabriel. Survived by Benita and Ron (Jill). Loved by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Wanda initially worked with her husband at Art’s Automotive, Port Colborne and later for the Red Cross.
Special thanks to the healthcare team at Heidehof, St. Catharine’s for their exemplary care, compassion and laughter.
Arrangements entrusted to the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne. There will be a private family Funeral Service in the Armstrong Chapel and Interment will follow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery.
