Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce Bob’s passing on August 22, 2021.
Bob is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Marie; his children, Leigh Ann (Dylan), Sherry (Todd) and Craig (Heidi), as well as his grandchildren, Chase, Kennedy, Cole, Kadin, Grayson, Jake and Hailey. He was predeceased by his infant son, John in 1968. Bob will also be missed by his extended family, colleagues and friends.
Bob lived a fulfilling life. Growing up on the farm in Holden, he moved into Edmonton and earned his Civil Engineering degree at the U of A. Bob was the best husband, father and grandfather we could ever ask for. While engineering was his passion, he was blessed to retire on the lake where he enjoyed water skiing and having his morning coffee on the deck. If there was one thing that Bob loved to do, it was make people laugh. Even in his passing, his memory will continue to bring smiles to our faces.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the health care providers at the University of Alberta Hospital for the exceptional care they gave Bob.
Many cats and dogs found their forever homes with Bob and Marie over the years and were dearly loved. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to SCARS (Second Chance Animal Rescue Society) www.scarscare.ca/donate/ or the charity of your choice.
