Andréa Daigle (née Arseneault)
1938-2021
RICHIBUCTO, NB – It is
with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of
Andréa Daigle, 83, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University
Hospital Centre on Sunday, August
22nd,
2021 following a brief illness. Born in St.-Charles, she was the
daughter of the late Richard and Emma (Richard)
Arseneault.
Andréa was a
devoted and generous mother, who dedicated her life to raising and
caring for her children, her grandchildren and her husband. She was a
strong woman, always very helpful and had a great sense of humour. She
enjoyed hooking rugs. She had a passion for music and in her spare
time enjoyed playing cards with her friends and browsing through yard
sales.
Andréa leaves to
mourn her loving husband, Gonzague T. Daigle of Richibucto; her two
daughters, Mona Daigle (Yves) of Aldouane and Rina Daigle (Rod) of St.
Louis; her four sons, Guy (Angela) of Ottawa, ON, Denis (Suzanne) of
Dieppe, Pierre (Thérèse) of Aldouane and Maurice
(Julie) of Dieppe; as well as her six grandchildren, Renée,
Philippe, Chanelle, Jérémie, Alexandre and
Josée and her five great grandchildren, Chloée,
Harmony, Noah, Carter and Clara.
Andréa will also
be sadly missed by her two sisters, Donalda Vautour (Camille) of
Irishtown and Alice Vautour (Antoine) of Aldouane; her four brothers,
Alphée Arsenault (Marguerite), Dollard Arsenault
(Éthel), both of St. Charles, Alvin Arsenault of Irishtown
and Ronald Arsenault of St. Charles; her lifelong friend, Nola; as
well as by her many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents,
Andréa was predeceased by her five sisters, Juliette,
Cécile, Elmonde, Emerise and May, as well as by her three
brothers, Léo, Eugère and
Bermand.
The family would like to
extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Stella Maris de
Kent Hospital and the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre
for the great care that they provided to
Andréa.
Visitation will be held at
Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto on Thursday from 2-4 and
7-9 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, August
27th,
2021 at 11:00 am, St.-Louis-de-Gonzague Roman Catholic Church,
Richibucto.
