It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Victoria Alvarado de Pajares on Friday, Aug. 13 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of Humberto Pajares for 67 years, loving mother to Humberto, Vilma, and Cecibel, proud grandmother to Michael, Paul, Henry, Joseph, Stephanie, Victoria, Leslie, Andrew and Adrian and great grandmother to Ethan, Lucas, Evelyn, and Christopher.
Victoria was born in Cajamarca, Peru and moved to Lima where she met and married her husband, Humberto Pajares. They immigrated to Canada to be with their family and help raise their nine grandchildren. Victoria loved to cook her favourite Peruvian dishes for the family and spoiled her grandchildren with homemade desserts. She loved to knit winter scarves and hats for her family and enjoyed gardening in her free time. She will forever be remembered for her kindness, love and generosity.
