Passed away peacefully at University Hospital, in London, on Sunday, January 10, 2021, in her 85th year. Marie, born in St. Marys, Ontario, lived in Muskoka (primarily Huntsville) for over 40 years. Wife of the late Gordon Ernest (2013). Dear mother of Lyle (Kendall), of Mountain City TN; Cheryl (Jeffrey), of London, ON; Dwight (Kristen), of Halifax, NS; and Lynn (Vernon), of Gibsonville, NC. Cherished grandmother of Brandon (Leanne), Tarah (Thomas), Kaitlyn (Jonathan), Peter, Matthew (Bethany), Scott (Lindsey), Ashley (Ronny), John Robert, Caleb (Laura), Esther, Rachel, Anna, and Josiah; and great-grandmother of Megan, Emma, Weston, Eli, Noah, Gwyneth, Niamh, Sammy, and Theo. Predeceased by her sister, Jean Marriott (2020). Marie was an experienced and highly sought after piano and voice instructor in Muskoka, church organist, pianist/accompanist and vocal soloist, still performing at age 83. She was a woman of strong faith and truly loved her Lord our God. A private viewing will be held at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Friday, January 22, 2021. Private interment at St. Marys Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Marie are asked to consider The Gideons International in Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
