Kelly M.’s Obituary
It’s with heavy hearts we say goodbye to Kelly Maureen Wilson. She was born January 22, 1958 in Victoria, British Columbia and passed peacefully in Grimshaw, Alberta on November 16, 2020.
Kelly spent time living in British Columbia, Nova Scotia and Alberta raising her family. She spent many hours with her children at the park, beaches, camping, and playing board games.
After leaving Nova Scotia the family moved to Grimshaw, Alberta where they opened Frankies, a fast food restaurant. As well as volunteered and spent many cold hours at the local hockey rink, where all three of her children played hockey and ringette.
She later went on to focus her passion for art, which included her eclectic antiques and extraordinary jewelry collection. She loved to paint and draw, her artistic creative mind influenced beautiful pieces to be inspired.
Anyone who had the chance to know Kelly will remember her for her beautiful smile, quick-witted personality and her laughter.
Kelly is survived by her three children, Glen (Natasha) Wilson, Eric (Samantha) Wilson, and Laura Wilson (Danny Woodland). She is also survived by her 6 beautiful grandchildren, Haylee, Nathan, Ryan, Holden, Cade and Holly.
She is also survived by her sisters, Donna Murray and Amy Szostak, aswell as her closest friends Jack Streeter, Eileen Brulé and Wes Szostak.
Kelly was predeaced by her brother Jim, her parents Randy Martens and Patricia Partridge.
We are very grateful for the memories and the laughs we were fortunate to have shared with our mother and friend, Kelly Wilson.
There will be a celebration of life service held at the Royal Canadian Legion in Grimshaw, Alberta on Saturday, August 21 at 2:00 pm.
