Obituary of Tina Penner
Tina Penner nee Thiessen, age 89 years of Morris, formerly of Brandon, Manitoba, passed away July 24, 2021 at the Red River Valley Lodge in Morris, Manitoba.
She is survived by her husband David NJ Penner; one daughter: Cathrin (Kelly), three sons: David (Evelyn), Jacob (Nancy) and John (Lori); 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; three sisters: Elma (Henry) Rempel, Anne (Cornie) Tschetter, Mary Enns; two brothers: Ed (Lee) Thiessen and Jake (Catherine) Thiessen, brother-in-law Dave (Helen) Unrau, daughter-in-law Eileen (Henry) and their families.
Tina was predeceased by her parents Jacob and Maria Thiessen, son Henry Penner, sister Helen Unrau; brothers Johnny and Benny; brothers-in-law Russel Dixon and Frank Enns; sister-in-law Bernice Thiessen.
Tina loved crocheting, knitting, crafting and ceramics. She loved playing cards and bingo; gardening, canning and baking were also hobbies she enjoyed. She was a member of the Lions Club, and worked at the Medora Community Centre. She enjoyed the grandchildren and family. She was attending the Grace Mennonite Church and also worked at the MCC Self Help store.
Viewing will be held at the Morris Funeral Home, Wednesday and Thursday, July 28, 29 from 12:00pm to 9:00pm. A private family graveside service will be held Saturday, July 31, 2021 at the Morris Cemetery at 2:00pm.
Donations in memory of Tina Penner may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Manitoba Heart & Stroke Foundation and/or the Red River Valley Lodge.
