April 15 1936 (Kirkland Lake) July 24 2021 (Cobourg). Beloved husband of Sheila Rooney (Hogan). Died peacefully in Northumberland Hills Hospital. Father to Tim Bryson (Brenda), Stephen Bryson (Traci), and Paul Rooney (Laura). Grandfather to Emily-Jane, Janna, Erin, Lucas, and Claire. Survived by his sisters Patricia G. Rooney Atkins and Leona Dolores Grimstead of St. Catharines, nephew Khan Rooney of Montreal, and sister-in-law Carol Lawless of Cobourg. Larry will be cremated and his ashes will be interred in Fonthill, Ontario. Larry held a life-long love of learning, and committed himself to helping others and pursuing social justice. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Northumberland Hills Hospital nhhfoundation.ca/donate or The Gloria Rooney Education Fund are welcome.
