Obituary of GREGORY SAMUEL HEPPNER
GREGORY SAMUEL HEPPNER
August 28,1972 – July 12, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Greg Heppner on July 12/2021 at Seven Oaks hospital.
Greg was predeceased by his grandparents from both sides and his nephew David Lagimodiere.
Greg leaves to mourn his father and mother Jim and Martha Heppner, sister Sharon(Gus), sister Brenda (Wally), brother Ron, and his newly found sister who came into our lives 4 years ago Michelle(Jim). He also leaves to mourn nephews Darrel, Sean, Jonathan, Derek, Josh, and nieces Alana and Louise, along with all his aunts and uncles and many cousins from both sides of his family.
Greg was employed at Costco wholesale for 26 years where he made many long lasting friendships. The outpouring of support from many of his co-workers shows how much he was loved by the people he worked with.
Those of us that knew Greg knew that he was a very special person. He always had a way of brightening a room when he walked in and made people smile and laugh without even trying. Greg was someone that everybody enjoyed being around. He had a zest for life and cherished his time with family and friends. Everyone that met Greg liked him from the very start. The day was always better if you spent time with him. His sense of humor was something we all enjoyed about him. If you were ever having a bad day Greg had the ability to change that. He genuinely cared for others and it made him feel good if he could make people smile and laugh. He loved to listen and talk with you whenever he had the chance.
Greg absolutely loved the outdoors and always stayed active whether it was biking, hiking, kayaking, fishing, skating or going to the gym.
We all will always remember his beautiful smile, his loving spirit, and we will cherish the time we were given to share with him.
As per Greg’s wishes he will be cremated and put to rest at Brookside Cemetery at a later date.
A private viewing will be held for immediate family on Saturday July 17, 2021.
Funeral service will be on July 20, 2021 at 1:00pm at Calvary Temple 440 Hargrave Street.
Due to restrictions only 25 people will be allowed. The service will be live streamed for those who wish to view it.
We will be having a larger Celebration of Life for Greg for all to share once restrictions allow.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of GREGORY
