Obituary for
Keith Ross Murland
It is with deep sadness we announce that Keith Murland passed away unexpectedly on July 4, at the age of 69 years.
Keith was born in Edmonton to parents James and Ruth (née Danskin), grew up in McKernan, and attended Strathcona High School, where he excelled in track and swimming. He pursued studies in radiation therapy and nuclear medicine, which led to a career in health care management and radiation safety.
Keith enjoyed downhill skiing, camping, hiking, running, golfing, and took great pleasure in watching his daughters pursue athletic and mountain endeavours. He also enjoyed travel to the southern US, Hawaii, and Europe.
Keith is survived by his wife and best friend, Dianne (née Yaniw); daughters, Shannah (Troy Letwin) and Andrea; brothers, George (Wendy) Kingston and Jim (Joanne); brother-in-law, Phil (Carol Ann) Yaniw; sister-in-law Joanne Yaniw; and numerous nieces, nephews, and their families.
He is predeceased by his parents; his brother-in-law, Len Yaniw; and niece, Jill Tomkins (née Yaniw).
The family extends their gratitude to all who have reached out to them during this difficult time.
A Celebration of Keith’s Life will be held on Friday, July 23 at 11:00 a.m. at Park Memorial, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton. Cremation has taken place.

Memorial donations may be made in Keith’s name to the University of Alberta Hospital Foundation or the Alberta Cancer Foundation
