Obituary
Karen Ann Viau died suddenly in Ottawa on Thursday, July 8th, 2021. Born in Cornwall on May 25, 1960, she grew up in Maxville and lived in Ottawa upon earning her Bachelor of Arts degree at Carleton University. She was a successful business woman who was well loved by her family and friends.
Ann is predeceased by her parents Clara and Edward Viau, her brother Edward, her brother Gerald and her sister Lorraine. Beloved younger sister to Lawrence Viau. Loving aunt to Tammy, Shelley, Gerald, Gage and Westley. Ann is mourned by many dear cousins and great/grand nieces and nephews.
A lifelong reader and traveller who enjoyed her time with family and friends, Ann was a generous spirit, always kind, helpful and considerate. She kept a calendar on her wall listing the birthdays of those close to her and never missed an opportunity to reach out with cards, thoughtful gifts and personal phone calls. Ann will be dearly missed by all.
A memorial ceremony and burial will take place at 3pm on Saturday, July 24th, 2021, at the Maxville St James Cemetery. In place of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ann’s honour to the Canadian Cancer Society.
