Harold Strang 05 Jul 2021

With great sadness the family of Harold Strang announce his peaceful passing on July 5th, 2021, at his residence in Bridgeview Hall, Miramichi at the age of 99. His kind gentle soul touched many and his dedication to his family, community and religious faith was unwavering.
Harold worked for many years at Hickey’s Drugstore, was a World War 2 veteran, and was well known for giving back through his time as a passionate volunteer on many committees, boards, both local and provincial. He took great pride in his status of Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus and as an honorary life member of the Canadian Mental Health Society. During his retirement years Harold was well known for his exceptional creations with wood: his bird carvings, bowls, and boxes which he delighted in giving to family and friends. He lived a full life of accomplishment second only to his love for his family.
Harold is survived by his children: Mary (Bill) Brown of Quispamsis, NB; Linda (Terry) Day of Orleans, ON; and John (Marlene) Strang of Napanee, ON; as well as 7 grandchildren, 15 grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, and his sister Mary Law of Manchester, Conn. He was predeceased by his parents and his beautiful wife Lois and after 25 years apart they are finally reunited.
The family wishes to offer heartfelt thanks to the special staff at Bridgeville Hall who gave Harold such amazing care, friendship and love during his time there and always showed such kindness to his family.
As per Harold’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held at a later date.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Harold Strang 05 Jul 2021..
