Lavina Louise Webb November 18 1941 July 2 2021

In Loving Memory Of
Lavina Louise Webb
Lavina Louise Webb (nee Browning), resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Slave Lake, AB, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 2, 2021, in her home at the age of 79 years.
Lavina was born in Edmonton, AB, to James and Norma Browning on November 18, 1941. She grew up in Edmonton where she took all her schooling. Growing up, Lavina spent time travelling all over with her parents and visiting family and friends all over Canada and the USA.
Lavina moved to Kelowna, BC, to pursue her career as a Laboratory Technician and there she met the love of her life Sydney J. Webb. They were married on May 22, 1965, in Kelowna and lived in Peachland, BC, for a few years. In 1967, they welcomed their daughter into their world and then moved to Swan Hills, AB. In 1970, they welcomed a bouncing baby boy into the family. They were transferred to Slave Lake in December 1972, where she worked at the Slave Lake Hospital as a Laboratory Technician. She made many life long friends and enjoyed her time at the hospital until her retirement in 2002.
During her time in Slave Lake, Lavina was active with the Hospital Auxiliary, Girl Guides, Boy Scouts and the Legion. Lavina was a city girl but she was always game to try new things, except water activities. She was not fond of the water, but in 2015 we managed to get her on an airboat to check out alligators in Florida. She also spent a lot of time sitting at the beach in Slave Lake, watching us swim and playing in the water to her knees.
In 2002, Lavina retired from her job at the hospital and moved to Grande Prairie where she was able to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She made many friends through her volunteer time with AHS.
She will be sadly missed by her son Scott Webb (Samantha); daughter Teri Ondrik (Darryl); grandchildren: Mickayla Speer (Tyler), Kelton Webb (Kelsey Hunt), James Ondrik, and Sydney Anne Ondrik; as well as great-grandchildren: Ensley Speer and Kaze Speer.
She was predeceased by her husband of 42 years Sydney J. Webb, and her parents James and Norma Browning.
A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, September 5, 2021. A Burial of Lavina and Sydney Webb will take place following the service at Saskatoon Lake Cemetery.
