Lorne MURRAY Oswald Grieve
1932-2021
Murray Grieve, AKA “the Silver Fox”, of Harvey Station,
NB, passed away peacefully in failing health at his home on July 3,
2021. Murray was born at Harvey Station, NB, on December 31, 1932, a
son of the late Oswald and Velma (Coffey) Grieve.
Murray retired from the Armed Forces in 1976 following a 20-year
career in flight research and a posting to CFB Lahr. He ran the skip
at the Lake George Antimony mine for three years, then operated
Murray’s Shell service from 1980 to 1993. Friends and neighbours
learned to depend on his diligence, integrity, humility, honesty,
attention to detail, self-discipline, and magical touch with
mechanical equipment. He died without pain or discomfort on the Harvey
Lake shore on land that has been in his family since before
confederation in a house he built himself surrounded by people he
loved, and these last few months have furnished many memories to
cherish.
He is survived by his loving and amazing second wife, Margie D.

Grieve (Nancy Lee), Harvey, NB; and several cousins, nieces, and

(Jack) Hamilton, and a niece Ellen Watters.
A funeral service will be held at a later date. For those who wish to
make a donation in memory of Murray, the family has suggested the
