Gerhard Foerg April 26th 1956 June 30th 2021

Peacefully at his residence with family by his side on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, the death occurred of Gerhard Foerg. He was aged 65 years of Forest Hill and Ontario and born in Badtölz, Bavaria, Germany. Gerhard was a loving husband to his beloved wife and best friend Dianne (nee Proper) and will be forever loved and deeply missed by his children Rebecca (Kym), Maria (Lyle), Joseph, Anna, Keisha and Kaelyn Oosterveld and his stepchildren John (Angela), Amy (Mark) and Willy. He will also be lovingly remembered as a cherished grampa to Charlie, Elisabeth, Roy, Ben, Jacob, Eddie and Emily.
Gerhard also known as “the mule man on PEI” will be missed by his many animals including his rescue horses, mules, donkeys, ponies and especially his dogs Belle and Tiny. Survived by his loving parents Helga and Adolf Förg, siblings Karin Grünwalder, Elke Lorefice (Pietro), Andreas Förg (Gabi) and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his infant grandson Dale Kaiser.
The family would like to acknowledge the exceptional care given to Gerhard by Dr. Malone and the Souris Home Care team which enabled him to rest at home.
Resting at Dingwell Funeral Home then at his home in Forest Hill where a private visitation will take place for immediate family only. Gerhard will be taken to his final resting place by wagon with his mules June and Roman where a graveside service will be held at the Old Dundas Acorn Cemetery, Dundas for invited guests. If so desired, donations can be made to the Wild Rose Sanctuary (PEI) in memory of Gerhard.
