Obituary for
William (Bill) Gurba
With much love and great sadness the family announces the passing of William (Bill) Gurba on January 2, 2021 at the age of 95 years and 9 months, with his family by his side.
He will be forever loved and dearly missed by his loving wife, Lillian, of 72 years, and his children, Bob, Judy (Stan) Paranich, Ted (Lorie), Carol (Gerald) Sauchuk, Bernie (Karen), and Zen (Sharlene); grandchildren, Corey (Cheryl), Pamela, Holly (Curtis), Jason (Erin), Terence (Jill), Jeff (Nicole), BJ (Jessica), Joshua (Gillian), Lisa (Kyle), and Stefan (Sharla); step-grandchildren, Roy, Corrie and Darcy; and great-grandchildren, Emma, Isla, Maven, Zane, Gracie, Dasha, Winnie, Lindsay, Sloan, Noah, Brielle, and Hugh.
Also mourning his passing are his sisters Nettie Wosnack and Olivia Toronchuk, brother Maurice (Pat); sisters-in-law Henrietta, Frances, and Hilda, along with numerous relatives and friends, all of whom were treasured and special to him.
He was predeceased by his parents, Lucas and Pearl; son Anthony; daughter-in-law Janet; brother-in-law, Joe Wosnack; sisters, Pauline (John) Gordash, Lily (Fred) Horyn; brothers, Joe (Ramona), Paul, Peter, Walter, and John.
The family expresses a special heartfelt thank you to the staff at Bar-V-Nook Manor in Smoky Lake for the exceptional care they provided Bill.
A private Divine Liturgy will be held with Father Slavko Dumeč officiating.
