Marcel Joseph Gaudette

Dad passed away peacefully after suffering a massive stroke on Dec 25, 2020. His beloved wife (Beverley) predeceased him in Aug, 2013 and he missed her every day. He is survived by his 5 children, Randy (Peggy), Steve (Lise), Sherry (Joe), Chris (Kerrie) and Daniel (Carrie).
Dad came to Coquitlam in 1936 with his family and settled in Maillardville. He married Mom on June 21, 1956.
He worked as a mechanic in New Westminster for Mansell Overand until he was hired by the New West Fire Department on Dec 1, 1962. On February 1, 1983. He was promoted to Captain and became Deputy Fire Chief on February 2, 1987. He was very involved with the Union during his career and served as an Exec. Officer of New Westminster Fire Fighters Local 256 as well as the Exec VP of the BC Professional Firefighters.
He will be missed by his 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
